Midgard Large and Medium shield, Malmohus Merchant

Hi all.... I'll try with another question, maybe I'll get more lucky than my previous one regarding BD pets (here if anyone minds reading it: https://forum.playphoenix.online/get-involved/ask-the-team/27316-bonedancer-pet-buffs-duration )

Why the Large and Medium shields sold by Malmohus Merchant in Mid are so different in value, and both costs 20k feathers?

The Large one is a must have: total util of 90, single util of 75 due to +3 to all melee (which means basically +85 single skills cause warriors use 2 melee specs), a speed of 3.0 (the fastest small shield has 2.8 lol!) and a Lifetap proc!!!!
The medium one, instead, has 10 points less of utility, a speed of 3.5 (why...just why???) and, to give a glorious finish, a DoT proc

So you have 2 choices, as far as I can see it:
1- give to the medium shield the same stats of the large one
2- give to Thanes the Large shield skill, and Thor will smile upon you and bless your home

Rumors told me that the medium shield has a better SP factor to protect yourself against the sun, especially for dumb Trollz who don't know what else do to with a shield- so the malus should be negated ☀️😎

What exactly you waiting for? I doubt they can give you an answer. The stats are used from live. You should ask Mythic why they used those stats and attack speed on the medium shield.

Only thing I can say is that shields are used for their procs and not for their stats so it should not matter anways. But if you are looking for it, the medium shield has +6 shield and this leaves room for other stats on armor/2h because if you switch to 2h you do not need + shield on it. So you save +2 shield skill compared to the large with +4 and that is 10 utility. I also value the dot proc higher because of the more damage it deals. (Solo play)

You can argue for group play and dot breaking cc's but it mostly will be applied with slam and you should not use slam with either shield cause of the lower attack speed. You wrote about Mid fastest small being 2.8. That is not true. There is a 2.6 small shield.
