Lan Question - Phoenix Freeshard

Hi,

First of all, super excited about Launch this Saturday. In typical nerd fashion, my buddy and I are going to throw-back (his Wife is out of town this weekend), and we're planning on doing a launch party LAN session on Saturday / Sunday. I know, you're Jealous.

What do we need to be aware of so we don't get shadow-banned for having similar IP addresses? Should we be fine if we just play normally even though we're on the same connection?

I tried searching for this topic and couldn't find anything relevant on it.

As long as you're playing the same realm you are fine playing from the same IP. You may get contacted in-game to get "tested" as being two different people and not a bot.

i am doing the same with my brother and maybe another few friends a bit later...

i know how to behave during the play sessions, to not get mistakenly caught BUT

does that mean our accounts will always be linked to each others? And if one of them gets into trouble down the line i am on the hook as well? Just because they also had been logged in from my house before?

Playing from the same household is no issue here. Make sure that you play the same realm and if you have to AFK longer than a few minutes better log out. In case we have to pull you through a test its crucial to be active otherwise we have to assume that you are dual logging.

As long others dont play from your own PC it wont affect you if they violate the rules.

Glad I ran into this question. I travel a lot for work. I will be using a 4G hotspot and hotel WiFi. I have a laptop for the road and a desktop that I use when I am home. I don't use VPNs or anything like that. Will this be an issue? This was a constant pain in the arse with Uthgard.

Your 'issue' is the exact opposite of this thread. This thread is about multiple players with the same IP address. Your concern is about one player with multiple IP addresses. I'm almost certain that you don't have an issue but to be sure, I think you should start a thread with your concern.
