Isnt this Crossrealming?

Just were looking through some youtube videos and found this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFJen-w28ns

And i was wondering at 15:00 they start to fight side by side with mids (as albs) against hibs. At 17:50 they are talking about it is awesome to have a mid-tank-grp to push for the alb-caster-grp against the hib-grp. So isnt this considered as crossrealming? Running side by side without touching each other and killing the 3rd realm together? and at the end moving away from each other in peace.

Just wondering if i can play a class of another realm and run with my friends from my realm to kill the 3rd realm.
Or did they all got a (3-day-)banned?

Allow me to quote the devs: "People can choose who they attack and when, no one is required to attack a member of the opposite realm."

ah okay, so crossrealming is allowed. Good to know, thanks :-)

Yea. Along with the other lousy practice of pulling off the enemy to let someone in same realm get slaughtered because you happen to try to help on their pathetic precious 8v8. This is far more egregious behavior then two enemies temporarily teaming up to kill the third realm.

On what scale would you like it to stop? So, say Albs are attacking Hib frontier, should Mids not be allowed?

So long as you do not use external means of communication then its perfectly fine for two realms to double up on another in a 1v1, 8v8, zerg v zerg. The key moment being 'and at the end moving away from each other in peace.' they weren't running together, they just happened to not attack each other.

But at the end i just want to understand the serverrules so i do not get banned when moving around with my friends from another realm.

If you look at how the situation developed, they are clearly not running together with them constantly, and doing so would surely be considered crossrealming. In fact, they are getting rolled by the mids and take advantage of an opportunity to not only survive a fight they'd lost, but get a good amount of rps out of the situation.

Regarding what you describe: As far as I know, nobody has tried this so far, but a few things that may be related to the behaviour you are implyong come to mind. First thing is that during one of the 5vs5 events, a guild was running three 5mans sticked, steamrolling everything, which was quickly clarified by the GMs to be forbidden. Along the same line was breaking cc deliberately if an 8man fight got interupted by a group of the same realm, e.g. mids vs. albs, some mids join the fight, mids who started the fight amnesia on the strike mezzed alb backline.

What is seen in the video is a perfect example of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Why shouldn't they push together with the mids after they recovered from the initial impact of this hibs that outnumber them by about 2:1 in the beginning? For rp-gain, it was clearly the right decision.

Absolutely nothing wrong here. They were fighting then the hibs ass jammed so they got sent back to TNN

That was a smart play. If they kept on attacking mids, the result would have been donating free rps to hibs.
Apparently albs and mids were trying to kill each other until numbers of hibs started to assjam, so I don't think they had any contact by voice, etc.
The important thing here is that this alb grp and mid grp didn't avoid fighting each other all the time, intentionally trying to trap other hibs.
