Is this allowed?

Last night my wife and I made new characters to play with some friends. I created a healer on my account and she made a shaman on her account. We play about 5 feet from each other irl.

After a couple hours she had enough and went to bed while me and the boys stayed up. Am I allowed to keep her account logged in on her computer and in our group to leech exp while she sleeps? Or is this considered multi boxing or whatever?

Not active player at the computer= botting. Simple. Don’t do it. Unless you want to risk a permaban for your wife.

nope, not allowed

each logged in account needs an individual active player otherwise it is considered botting and you will get banned

My understanding is that you are given a grace period when the bot test begins of around five to ten minutes. The devs are reasonable and understand that people are not always at the computer and sometimes have to do things like take a shit or let the dog out.

Technically, you could just wake up your wife when the mods port you and say she is in the bathroom. From what I understand you would get away with it too— at least once. My money is on them eventually figuring it out and dropping the ‘ol ban hammer after repeated occurrences.

All that being said, doing this sort of thing clearly runs contrary to the spirit of the rules and is a pretty lame thing to do. If she is asleep and not returning then she is a bot. Find a replacement.
