Im A New Player And Have A Big Problem

The problem is how to start getting xp? I just started a necro, a class I am very familiar with. At level 1 I cannot in any way kill a green con mob, the lowest con mob that will give me xp.

I get themt o half health an im out of power an time. My pet is dead in 2 hits by any green mob an well as a necro without a pet............

So how on earth am I supposed to even get started leveling? Does it get easier to kill mobs the higher your level or mobs always so tough that this freeshard basically forces you to group. Which I couldnt cause noone was around in SI or in classic.

Basically I really need to know if this version forces you to group to even kill mobs. Thats really all I need to know cause otherwise I am doing something very very wrong.

I just created a necro and spawned in SI lands. Was able to use the mana tap to 3 shot blues at level one before they got to my pet. Not to sure why you are having issues.

We dont have any green con mobs at lvl 1. Lowest on lvl 1 is blue. And killing blue con mobs is very easy, just tested it also. 3 casts and the mob is down.

Hi Lord_ManHeim!
It sounds like you are doing something wrong; your pet should be able to kill a green with auto-attack alone. The server does not require grouping in order to progress, as any class should be able to solo (dependent on spec), but it does reward it. Hopefully, one of our friendly necros will wander by and offer some insight as to what you might be doing wrong.

Better yet, try using the /advice channel and ask in-game for some help.

Uthred you are 100% incorrect. I can tell you for a fact there are green con mobs at level 1, theyre everywhere an im not sure why you wouldnt know that. Spriggarns in camelot and imps in SI are green.

Having said that I must be doing something wrong, cause I just got the armor and equipment from the vendors in Castle Sausage and I cant use any of it due to not being level 40 but its equipped at least.

Dont know why but I get 2 power drains off on distant mobs and they get to me with half health, my necro servant uselessly hits them a couple times for zero damage and then it dies, then i die.

I cannot progress to level 2 or get xp in any way like this. Is there armor a low level 1 can wear and get bonuses from? Cause if I cannot buff my pet in any way this wont change

Are you either red / green color blind or are you looking at the color of the mob model (like green hue to the scales of the mob)? Green for level 1 would mean the npc has to be level -1, the lowest mobs we have is 0, that's blue to level 1.

I just watched you ingame. Imps are not in SI but in Avalon Marsh, near Adribards Retreat where I saw you trying to kill an orange con imp. I just saw you die to one and this mob was orange con.

Lord Manhammer - perhaps you're lvl 2 and that's why they're green con? Also, if you have lvl 40 armor you aren't getting full bonuses. It's probably more effective to wear the gear you find that drops from those level 0-5 mobs as it will be more around your level.

Many many thanks Uthred, the 'green' mobs on my comp actually look green but Uthred was 100% correct, they are orange, not green lol , ill just keep an eye out for that from now on

Anyone know if the RA ability Mastery of the Art and Aug Dex Stack benefits? or is one fine without using the other? or you need both on a caster?
