Friar question - Phoenix Freeshard

I read that the dev's voted on Friars healing staff styles and it was voted down.

Any special reason why?

I have not seen a SINGLE friar in RvR anywhere. Seems like a little bit of help might be needed to get them out.

I really know nothing about them, did they make Friars OP? Really in all my time playing DAoC I never played friars so know nothing about how they work or what they are like. I just read that as far as healers go, clerics will always be picked first, and as far as DPS goes, Merc's will always get picked first. Not sure healing styles would help this, but anything is better then nothing?

I have no Idea why it was voted down, but anything have to happen to make friars viable. They are actually so hillarious powerless not even ONE good anytimer in staffl ine

Friar was the first i tried, and i agree they are severely lacking with the added QOL benefits to other classes
Really needs the newer staff styles to be relevant

I am hoping that it is something the dev's are still considering. As it stands I have been playing in Alb the last few days and havent even grouped with one yet.

I would rather see them get more of warden treatment, be that potential 3rd half support/peeler for an alb tank group... that’s always where I remember friars being at their best, sadly due to alb composition difficulties it’s a struggle to get them into caster groups which are the alb norm, still think alb tank groups are insanely strong and underrated.

Friars have always excelled in solo play especially killing stealthers that think they are casters. Unfortunately for the Friar, the new poison that stealthers get that reduses weaponskill instead of str/con makes it so that they are much weaker against stealthers.
