Endgame PvE

Don't mean to be provocative or rude, but on this server where leveling PvE is extremely easy, global rogs/eggs/lvl 40+ kt items/social bonuses/porting/ crafting progression etc, why is the endgame content more difficult than current Uthgard?

SI raids are def way harder here than on Uth

And I may be misinformed, but I would assume it's because they're still fine tuning everything? It's still beta so maybe they're adjusting it here and there to see what works.

First to get something out of the way:
None of the feather / high end pve content is strictly required for RvR and the items themselves are tradable, including the alchemy ingredients, and the regen 4 potions are easily farmable via trashmobs.

Our PvE content is intentionally not a brainless afk stick fest, it should be possible but it should be somewhat difficult / challenging, especially for smaller raids (3 good groups is our intended minimum). The group content (trollheim etc.) should also be somewhat challenging for a fg and nosdoden should be very difficult for 1 group but still doable.

Plz make ANY raid related mob something that takes a group to kill if possible. I know it can be tough with how classes are in DAoC, but a raid mob should require a raid. A super boss should require a well balanced full group also.

Please don't make these farmable to just a duo or something.

These need to be something harder than hell to defeat and something that might even take multiple runs.

50~ man raid almost completely wiped to 4 different bosses in tuscaren glacier

don't remember it being this hard on live considering you could focus pull most of the dungeon :thinking:

Rest assured we are trying to spy in on the raids; for us this is useful "beta testing". So please keep trying.

Otherwise, as schaf said, we are still "tuning" the encounters in Tuscar/Galladoria/Sidi for ~3 groups. A lot of these encounters have one or two tricks about them that makes brainless zerging somewhat difficult. And sometimes is just about paying attention to the messages and learning the ability rotations. So you shouldn't go into this thinking you could just use the tactics the worked on live. Other than helping us tweaking things, this is also an opportunity to relearn these dungeons.

Galla bit too hard atm for 3 groups.

Especially the bosses that disease/dot on a large scale.

Final boss of Trollheim is a bit intense for one group, between the spam disease, adds and giant 400-600 damage fire aoe he does the encounter feels over before it gets started. We had a really good group go in there, got about 30-40% of the way down despite having no real idea what he did, but then he just kept spamming adds over and over again and we could never get back on boss.

All in all I do agree with the OP about the difficulty of PvE being a little bit steep atm. I am all for difficult, I hate brain dead PvE where you can fall asleep at the keyboard and win.

3fg tuning is about right, if 3fg organized is enough to do all content that would be great.... rather do smaller organized raids then mindless zerging. The loot rolling takes longer than raid -_-
