Do you accept donations?

This freeshard is wonderful. Me and my friends first game was daoc and this shard is like we made it ourselves; in how perfect of a fit it is for us.

Do you accept donations? We would love to help those who have worked and created such a great product.

Unfortunately, they cannot accept donations cause then they would be making money off the game which would bring on legal repercussions.

Donation to a person, for being great, a friend, whatever reason really, is up to you.
What they cannot do is publicly ask for money in the name of the freeshard.

All it would take is Uthred selling whatever digital thing like a pdf with "Uthred carefully" (yes I think I'm funny) in it and sell it for 5$ over amazon or something and people wanting to buy it. Unrelated to DAoC, no legal binding (obviously I am not a lawyer I may be wrong, it just make sense).

The difficulty remains in the advertizing of it. The possibilities of scams and the already big level of entitlement of the players that I cannot imagine if they ever decided to donate ....
