Cross Realming? play on all realms?

Hello--

I'm a bit confused about what cross realming is?

My main question is:

Can I play on all the realms--midgard, hibernia, and albion or is that cross realming?

I usually play for pve and would like to play on all the realms with all the different characters and not just choose one realm.
So am I understanding that if I choose, say Hibernia, and play an animist or something, at some point Ill have to delete my animist so I can try Albion? Or can I make characters on all the realms to try them out? Just don't want to break the rules...

You can play on all realms without having to delete any pre-existing characters.

There is currently a 4 hour timer for rvr, but instant for pve.

Example, you die in rvr bg on hib and get tired of feeding rps to the enemy so you log out and quit game. Reboot and choose alb or mid and you can only do pve in non frontier zones.

Or you can start with pve on your animist as long as you stay in a pve zone and don’t contribute to rvr you should be able to immediately switch to alb or mid and then rvr.

Currently this is how the system works. The only thing that can get you banned involving which realm you are on is if you have more than one account made in the same household and each is playing a different realm at the same time which is not allowed. If you don’t have a second account in your house you have really nothing to worry about unless you start logging back and forth and giving intel for the purpose of cross realming.

You do have to log out fully and quit the game then restart it to switch realms or you will get an error. You just can’t rvr on one realm and then rvr immediately on another, they have a system in place to prevent you from entering an rvr zone if you’ve been on another to rvr in last 4 hours is simple statement

This is always how it was for me also, but lately it hasn't given me the error and is letting me switch without restarting.
