Character .ini files are now stored in the DAoC live character location

Logged in this morning and had to use Proxy #2 to get past the initial load screen. After selecting a character, found that my UI settings were no longer set as they were before the weekend. The UI was set to new character defaults. So, I reset a characters UI and logged out. When logging in, looked good, but for some reason it is now saving character.ini files to the Live DAoC character folder and not the phoenix folder.

Before weekend character files were stored in
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\phoenix

Today the character files are stored in
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\LotM

Big problem since I use same character names in both game versions. Is there something I can do to correct this problem.

Yes the "paths.dat" may or may not be in your game directory already, if you right click on it and open with notepad you can copy and paste the text below into it:

[paths]
settings=phoenix_

If it's not in there then you can simply right click in your phoenix game directory and choose "New" Text Document and name it "paths" you will have to go to control panel and file explorer options to let you rename the file extension from ".txt" to ".dat"
.

after that just make sure it's named "paths.dat":
