Celerity range

Is it deliberate that the casted celerity (from healer class on mid) range only is 1k atm, or is that a bug? AFAIK the range is 1500 on both uthgard and live.

Healer celerity on Uthgard is 1000 range.

"Phoenix is a Free to Play Dark Age of Camelot Shard. We aim for a general patch level 1.65 with many custom additions..."

Patch Notes 1.83:
"The cast time of Celerity spells has been decreased to 2.0 seconds."

Patch notes 1.87:
"The radius of the Celerity spells in the Healer's augmentation spell line, has been increased from 1000 to 1500 units."

The cast time on celerity is 3sec atm.. maybe THAT is a bug then?

I don't think it is a bug if patch 1.83 reduced the cast time down to 2 seconds. 3 seconds must have been the cast time prior to patch 1.83 which means this server has it correct.

I won't write this off as set in stone, we constantly re-evaluate as the game progresses, HOWEVER bear in mind that at this stage of the game midgard is the only realm with access to celerity (all other buffs including charges and procs are base haste only) and as such we would need much more information and evidence that such a change would be warranted before we will consider taking action.

Well I play on Mid in beta so feel free to increase range...although if I switch at launch I would prefer if it was put back to its normal range... =)

For my very limited RvR experience as an augmentation healer, this spell is mostly usable when the fight is almost over - just to kill the remaining targets faster. Why ? Because when I stop to cast celerity, tanks keep running in speed 6 and they are way out of range when my spell lands. And they couldn't stay around me until they get it. If I get to move closer and stops to cast for 3 seconds, I will be interupted (or most likely, pull the pain train onto me). So I mostly use this spell in PvE. If more skilled aug healers have a different experience, please let me know. Supports classes are quite new to me in DAoC and it may be that I am doing it wrong.

Your def tank will benefit if you play together well, and more often than not you will score a kill due to celerity on your warrior
The meta is melee heavy already, no need for further buffs even if mid is more caster hybrid heavy atm.
