SPEC 50+15 shield + full buff + mastery of blocking 9 + dexterity 9 on 100hits - 35% blockrate on a merc !!!!!!!
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS should be more than 50%!
Take a look a this is should be a prob for warior and hero too !

What are you trying to say?

The block rate is shown with every single successful block, why mention 100 hits?

And what is this about now pala vs merc? Are you saying you have a block rate of 35% and expect more than 50% against a merc, are you saying merc only reduces it by 35 and should reduce by 50?

There's a cap to block %
vs duel wield, your block rate is halved (maybe more or less on this server. I cannot remember all of the tweaks here.)
35% sounds good to me in that scenario if merc was duel wielding.

You'd have better defense figuring out what amount of MoBlock and Shield spec gets you to cap and spending the remaining RAs and spec points in MoParry and parry.

But that would require more testing and less freaking out...

Well, I just did this quick test this afternoon then I post it in our group chat...
I was just surprised that regarding all the cumulatives RA/spe possible, we are just reaching 1/3 block rate against a merc, even if DW.
I think I was not the only one, yes it's only about feeling.

If it's only my own feeling and guildamtes, then I am fine, I will just forget about become a wall.

Well what is the block rate cap in this game? Even if the DW bonus against shield was lowered here, if the block cap is around 50% (I have no idea if it is), and the DW bonus is applied after the cap is calculated then around 35% block would make sense.

gruenesschaf said 80% block rate cap for rvr. However, a caster unbuff/and unstuff who hit me with his staff get 63,44% chance to get block. (against pally 50+15 shield/MoB 9/Augm Dext 6/buff from blue pots + d/q charge red).
I guess it's nearly impossible to even reach 50% block rate in real context, whatever you do.

whats the block rate cap for guard? And is guard also affected by the dual wield penetration?
