Can we expect these thing at some point? I had asked about these back in beta and was told they were in the works.

Eventually yes, however there is still quite a bit of work to be done to reduce the garbage collector impact, quite a bit of work on the launcher and some small herald update before we focus again on non critical things in the tracker.
