Are these RP rates what is intended for this server?

Top RP earner is RR8. Bastardo. 439,041 RPs in two days. That being said if he was lower RR he wouldve gotten more from tasks and would most likely have even more RPs, but for the purpose of this post lets just take this RP rate. Assuming the population was 5x-10x the current pop there would be even more rps to go around. Also these RPs are for the middle of the week and would be higher for the weekend, so I feel this rate is relatively fair to use.

RR10 = 5,974,125 Rps
439,041 divided by 2 = 219,520 Rps per day.
5,974,125 rps divided by 219,520 = 27 Days to RR10.

These RPs are for a very low pop server, I think the server will easily be 3k-4.5k population at launch if not more. These rps are for an rr8, who gets less RPs due to rank. I am not trying to complain about people getting RPs, and I am aware it's beta and RP rates may change. That is the actual purpose of this post. To find out if this is the expectation. I think part of the game is the journey, and you feel more accomplished when literally the entire server isn't rr10 within two months.

Should we be expecting RR10s within the first month of launch?
Should we be expecting full rr8 and rr9 zergs within a month? And full server of RR10s within two months?

If this is what the devs want then so be it, but I personally would like a dramatic decrease in RPs. At least reduced for live, RP rates don't mean much during beta. So no problem at the moment. I do not have the complete answer, it just feels like a problem to me.

P.S. Thanks for the herald it looks great.

Most RP values will be decreased soonish.

However, the highest rp gainer is not really in any way representative for the average.

Also keep in mind that now with the tasks we have usually more than two thirds of all online level 50s in the rvr zones and also rather concentrated, so even without any other bonus (which is apparently needed or at least helpful to get people in the frontiers in the first place) you'd have more rps going around already. Add to that the basically fixed amount everyone gets for task completions and you can certainly expect the average rr to be higher than it would be without this, so where you'd expect rr 2 - 4 zergs you could probably expect rr 4 - 6 after some time.

RP bonuses should disappear after rr6-7 and you should gain RP's like you did back in 2001.

Thank you very much for your response Schaf. I always appreciate the effort and time you guys put in. I hope it did not come off as a complaint, it was merely an inquiry. I had assumed it was high for Beta, but I figured it was worth asking.

I know that the highest is not indicative of the entire server, but I felt it was fair considering all the reasons its lower than normal too. High RR gets less RPs, Midweek is less RPs than the weekend, low population means less rps, and the no-life guild groups are also not playing who would be doing better rp wise than most zerg players. All this aside, it was just a sloppy first take observation.

So thanks again for your response. I am glad to know that it is not the intended rate for live and there will be some form of reduction. No rush needed though, i'm sure it helps more people testing more RAs. Beta is all to help you guys figure it out. You devs all are awesome. Keep up the good work.

Edit: Since my initial post there are now 6 people at or above the 439k, up to almost 500k. Over the weekend, The highest at 439k, will become middle of the pack.

450k in 2 days should straight up be impossible on a server with like 500 people online at peak. Even on a full pop server that's an absurd amount.

There will be a wipe before launch. I also think there should be a complete sever wipe before /instant50 to help properly test level 50 RVR. The current high RR players and LGM crafters had their hard earned success under different server conditions and could skew the results of the /instant50 phase.

That totally depends on what you want to test. Realistically, in a few months of live you have the exact scenario as described (e.g. few high RR and a lot of lower RR). What you want is something a bit like "seasons" like in Diablo, where a character-wipe will happen every new season.
