This is just related to scouts/rangers/hunters...

Will Phoenix archery mimic the current crossbow mechanic as on live in terms of DPS or be its own animal with own formulas etc...

I don't know the answer to this but I sure hope they get archery damage correct unlike uthgard were archers hit for about half the damage they did on live during this patch!

Archery is using the normal melee formula and all 3 archer classes should do patch level appropriate damage.

Thanks for the response. Not to get into too much minutia but does this mean archery will behave like "melee"? For example there are many things that per patch notes and such are said to affect "melee" but make no mention of archery. The standard definition of melee is hand to hand, not ranged combat. Melee cannot be interrupted, ranged can.

An example of this is SM pets are said to be able to intercept melee attacks. On certain servers they also intercept arrows because of the blurred mechanic of melee vs ranged combat.

Not wanting to start a debate on what is correct, just wanted to get a feel of how things would be implemented before I started and invested time in a particular class.

Reads for me like you have no clue about game mechanics but that doesnt stop you from claiming your version to be right.
