Animist Absorption Debuff

Is the Animist absorption debuff additive or multiplicative? We ran it tonight and our tanks weren't noticing as much a difference as we assumed they would; 20 extra damage on a target who has zero absorption (caster debuffed by the animist) doesn't feel right if it's an additive reduction. Am I actually just lowering their 10% absorption by 15%?

It's additive.

The way it works is that the damage modifier at some point is multiplied by 1 - absorb buffs, e. g. in case of a 10% self buff caster by 0.9, if you apply a 15% debuff it would then be multiplied by 1.05 instead.
