55% meele resis?

Hello everyone,

I (NS with pierce weapons) just had a fight against an Saracen Infiltrator. Yeah I know happens all the time, but after the fight I looked at the loc and did see this

If something isn't terribly wrong with my brain I should run against 39% meele resists in this fight (10% Alb leather + 26% items resists + 3% Saracen racial resis) and not the 55% that are displayed to me here. Did I forget something?

Albion leather is strong vs thrust.

Pretty sure resistant is 10% here -10, 0, 10

The deduction is from the initial damage including the damage that has been absorbed by the ablative (a barrier absorbs xy)

the barrier is not the problem.
Without any resis my first attack does 88 damage after the barrier. Of this 49 damage are resisted, hence the 39 (-49) and that is 55%

The damage calculation happens, which includes the application of resists, then the remaining damage is potentially absorbed by ablatives. In your case your initial hit does 38 absorbed + 39 remaining = 77, meaning without ablative the message would have been 77(-49) which would be about 39% resist which is 26 + 3 + 10. One could argue that only reducing the damage from the message but not the modifier is a bug but it would just be a display / text bug.
