Although i understand and agree with the phoenix rules on the use of /advice channel, i was banned today by Uthred after a fair warning about the use of the Chanel
When warned i was not able to reply to him and i was banned not for the original offence but for using advice channel to respond to Uthred himself as a direct result of not being able to reply to his PM which i think is a bit unfair!!!
My crime was that i answered a fellow human being in advice Chanel, who clearly was having a Real life issue and i showed compassion and answered 1 question. to which i got the PM warning. not the ban...as i said above that came after replying to Uthred in advice as i was unable to respond to his pm....
What a world we live in when we cant show compassion for our fellow man our fellow realm mates and gaming community as a whole to which we are happy to be a part of.
I dont normal QQ or troll, im not a believer of this at all, i feel that Uthred was right to warn people of the miss use of the Chanel but if you devs are going to message people, at least allow them the courtesey and respect they give you to allow them to explain them selves. or have the common decency which has been shown by most of the team so far in taking a look at the issue in chat and act accordingly....i have had a child who attempted suicide for a very similar issue in RL and to not act, not say something regardless of the rules of chat channel is insane!!!!
There has been much less serious off topic chats throughout the day that dont really have the same level or impact on life as this gentlemen's cry for help and i feel the matter was not handled appropriately or fairly and certainly not in a consistent manner applied all day all night by the entire Moderator teams...
I sure hope this gentlemen cry for help albeit within a game environment does not relate to a more serious outcome offline, to which historically i am aware of several instance where this has unfortunately occurred on other servers.
I wish to point out lastly, that this is not my attempt to insult the team or anyone specifically, but more of a request to take a look at the system rule and take into consideration REAL world implications of such rulings and possibly allow some kind of exception to the rule or at least understand whats going on and act with some compassion.
