Unknown damage type causing positive damage to be delt

I am a ranger and i was fighting an infiltrator and some form of damage he was causing ended up doing positive resist. My resist are capped and there should be now way for someone to cause positive damage without some sort of resist debuff, but that fight was a 1v1 and no one was around.

Looks like dmg shield dmg,it appears after you hit him..there is fire(coulda sworn is was earth wiz thing) wiz dmg shield (matter dmg) and pot for alb to my knowledge.

yeah it seems to be a damage shield, but shouldnt it be affect by resists

Damage shields are using resists but for some reason display +1 instead of the reduced value
