So it says the range is 1000 on the info, when its really around 400-500 more or less. Not sure what vaule is actually intended.

The amount is correct, but the info is a little bit misleading. Value = 250 = it adds 250 to your stealth detection range.
Range = 1000 is not the range in which you can detect players. It is needed for the spell to work correctly, thats why we cant remove it from it. As weird as it may sounds.
