Necro remains in shade form with pet up upon death and /release

I had logged into Lyonesse at the Danian Fisherman and started casting a pet, i got agro and died just as soon as my pet finished casting, upon release to Gothwaite(bind) i was still in Shade form with fully cast Pet(abomination). I tried recasting a pet in Gothwaite and the message read "You are already in Shade form"
