Hunters cannot charm "Animals" in frontier

There are many animals in the frontiers but hunters cannot charm them.
Using the Call of Gleipnir you get "This spell does not charm this type of monster" even though the monster is considered an "Animal" whether it's a bear, or wolf or some kind of cat.

I've compiled a list of mobs, from Yggdra Forest and Uppland as an example:
List of mobs cannot charm in Yggdra Forest:

boreal cockatrice (reptile)
ice lizard (reptile)
frost orm (considered "insect" for some reason)
winter wolf (animal)
glacial mauler (animal)
frost hound (animal)
icestrider chiller (insect)
wyvern (drake)
taiga cat (animal)
young wyvern (drake)
frosty scuttlebug (insect)
chiseler (insect)
white wolf (animal)
icemuncher (animal)
frosty colt (animal)

Can charm:

alpine cockatrice (reptile)
torpor worm (animal)

Uppland:
Frosty colt - can charm (but can't charm the ones in Yggdra)
Frosty scuttlebug - can charm (but not the ones in Yggdra)
Chiseler - can charm (insect type) - but not in Yggdra
Giant Snowcrab- can charm with insect spell (not in Yggdra)

Perhaps Uppland has fixed mobs but Yggdra and other places don't?

Anyway, Hunter at lvl 50 can only charm up to lvl 41 mobs so it makes the pet kinda useless anyway.
But, for what it's worth...
