Hammer of the pious buff icon flashing when the buff is not fading

I cast hammer of the pious on my cleric and after it started fading, I cast it again. The icon continues to blink and the status of the buff says "fading" but the spell never fades away.

If I let the buff completely expire, then recast, the buff icon appears normally. I will try casting it again during fadeout.
