BD - Healer Pet - Unbecoming Behavior

Hello,
As many of you who have children or were a child at some point are aware, the rebellious phase is a real (and often educational) journey for an individual.
However, in light of the technological advances of the 21st century, I defend that many of these naturally occurring behaviors can be accelerated to a more timely conclusion.

Recently, I've noticed my adolescent BD healer skellos (lvl 18 & lvl 24) refusing to obey a passive + follow command during a spellcast. They seem single-minded in a stubborn pursuit to refill every health bar to completion. While this is a noble and just goal, I often find myself hundreds of yards away from battle (running after a battle concludes) only to find my healer pet absent. Spell failure text notifies me that I cannot summon a successor; the frustration he must feel has clearly driven his absence. No solutions have presented themselves to me this far - except for the ghastly and time consuming butcher's knife of a Commander release + resummon.

Please help me find a way to reach my wayward skellos.

Thank you,
Wikren
