Questions about the role of GTAOE classes in RVR

So I'm currently leveling a RC Runemaster because Mid desperately needs them in zergs, apparently.

What's the expected role of GTAOE classes in zergs/keep defense/keep taking?

In terms of defending a keep, I'd set a ground target on the keep door and spam my spell?

Would I do the same to enemy catapults or would I use my normal AOE DD on those? Or do I snipe those with my bolts?

What about attacking a keep? Do I ground target the defenders on the castle ramparts?

Teach me, Obi-Wan.

Never played RC but here is what I'd do

Zerg/Roam/misc: using my bolts, my cold debuff for others caster or (if charplan is ok) my one baseline cold DD (Darkness), rooting people to help healers

Keep attack/defense: getting friend with a stealther to help place best gtae, or follow the bg leader wich sometimes say when a ground target is set and assist him (/ground assist NAME if I'm correct), and/or of course what you already do in zerg/roam

edit: you can nearsight too

rooting people to help healers

only do that if it is absolutely needed and/or no friendly melees are near
Rooting gives root immunity and then the target can not be snared anymore

So at this point better to use the dmg snare in Supp line, or?
Asking cuz I'm leveling a RC RM as well for the same reason of the OP, atm lv 47 no temp and yet having lot of fun in the zerg much more than Skald.

yes, snarenuke is also good, doesn't give immunity and also peels (albeit much less than melee snare)
