Staff focus/styles for friar

Seem to recall seeing somewhere that some clerics run staves because focus reduces power cost on heals..is this true?
And can a friar still style with a "caster staff"?

The only benefit from a cleric using a staff is for personal cosmetic/charge reasons. Friar can style with any staff they can equip.

Focus bonus on staves only effects cloth wearing casters, similar to the acuity buff. It doesn't effect clerics or friars.

The only class that isn't a pure caster which benefits from focus is Valewalker.
