What's up with LAN? - Phoenix Freeshard

Hey, I am just wonderin what is up with the LAN-blocks?

I am an old DAOC (solo-artist) since 2000 , and I recently introduced an old friend to the wonderful world of daoc.

He made a new account on my old laptop, did the email confirmations for a new account and started playing (and loved it)

Until we got kicked out and blocked for "account sharing?"

I don't understand this, sinec we are on different accounts, different emails but happened to be on the same wifi (my phone wifi)

yeah I don't understand, I was away for a year and perhaps same wifi was banned...

Has nothing to do with your LAN, they only allow one account per machine here, and if you happen to use someone else's computer which happened to have a previous account registered to it, you get slapped. We've suggested about a dozen alternatives, the response has basically been "STFU and do as you're told."

You are using a different account on the laptop.
You must have had account logon to server with that pc
Not allowed
Get hold of them see if they can allow but they are pretty strict about one account per pc
