Double Down? - Phoenix Freeshard

Been listening to the community and seems many are still talking about last event, and how much fun it was. Mostly because they got to try the new styles on different toons. With that being said ya think the server could possibly double down on a sooner event than 6 weeks? I understand its not everyone's play style. It certainly was a nice change of pace from the typical chase the task realm points, zerg, and get mowed down by 8 mans. If not cool. Go back to the welfare rps in the task zone

And here we have an example of the primary issue with the server: People think their only options are to either get ridiculous RP from the event or "welfare RPs in the task zone."

People have been given too many free boosts and have decided that there is no point in playing outside of those areas. Catch-up mechanics are nice, but they've become the "only" way worth playing to too many people, who just chase flags or suicide once per 30 minutes. When you can log into any frontier town and see dozens of people AFK waiting for the task tick, or watch a parade of people running to the docks every 30 minutes, there is an issue that needs addressed.

Its been an issue since welfare rps been given out... People lost all sense of adventure.

Completely agree with this, and I am guilty of doing it, though mostly because I work and alt-tab to DAOC every 30 mins or so for a quick run (hoping to meet someone solo but rarely do)

The staff has mentioned that the event is on hold and they are rethinking it, the contribution merchants are on hold, so it will probably not be back in six weeks, even less likely that they will decrease the time
