Shaman template: weaponless usefull?

As title says, my template could currently be weaponless, but with only 28Str, 0qui.

I am now considering using the 5.8speed 2h hammer with dotproc to clear pets of myself, and the dex/qui debuff hammer for when i am ruppting something in melee. Taking the stats of the 2H into the template would allow me to cap STR and maybe even get a bit of Qui but lock me in for those weapons.

How would you guys decide?

Use a staff to clear pets, you will always have more dex than strength as a Shaman, unless you're a Troll and template in 75.

oh yeah, sounds logical...totally forgot shamans can use staves
Are there any special slow staffs or would i just use a crafted one and mirror the stats of the 1h dex/qui-debuff hammer?

I used a crafted and mirrored my normal set-up as best I could.

If your template is weaponless, you can pit +qui on your staff, if you have not capped that anyway.
