it doesn'T happen consistently then though...or BD pets are excluded
I had sent my pets onto an adding archer last friday and the archer ran away and stealthed, so in that case it behaved like normal
did 2,5k solo kills on my hunter, encountered several vanishers and never ever! my pet chased the one who vanished.
the only scenario i can imagine is when you only have 1% left and can not escape quickly so you are still in detection range

I think you're gonna need to provide a lot more data about the situation when this happens before you can expect to get any action. My suspicion is that you're vanishing, the minstrel or hunter is using a stealth lore potion, then they're sending their pet to attack once they see you. As you describe it, though, there's no way to know, and no way to reproduce the problem without spending hours and hours on what could be something as simple as you overlooking what your enemy is doing.

Just happened to me yesterday. Vanish and pet still follow as soon as 3 sec vanish "get-away fast!" wears off, pet attacks,... what's the point of vanish if this is happening if you are fighting more hunters than other classes? So many hunters play now because they are too much love gave to them recently.. needs balanced and this pet bug needs to be fixed ASAP. Thank you guys for all you do for us!

Are we playing on the same server?
Most of time the pet stops chasing when I vanish, but every now and then it will continue to chase. Happens rarely enough that I don't worry too much about it.
